2025 LUCAS COUNTY CITY SCHOOL ELECTION

November 4, 2025

City/School Election
Beginning in 2019, School and City Elections will be combined and held in November of odd-numbered years. A City election is used to elect the Mayor and Council Members and any other elected city officials. In Lucas County, the City of Chariton has a provision that could cause a run-off election to take place in December. A School Election is an election to select School Board members for school districts within Lucas County.

NOTICE OF POLLING PLACE CHANGES FOR REGULAR CITY/SCHOOL ELECTION

TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2025

The following changes have been made to the polling locations for the Regular City/School Election:

THE PIN OAK MARSH PRECINCT polling site has been combined with the Chariton City Hall Precinct 

polling site at the Chariton City Hall.  Please go to the Chariton City Hall, 115 S. Main St. , Chariton, IA

to cast your ballot for this election only.

THE LUCAS COUNTY EXTENSION PRECINCT polling site has been combined with the Chariton Community

Center Precinct polling site at the Chariton Community Center.  Please go to the Chariton Community Center,

915 Osage Ave., Chariton, IA to cast your ballot for this election only.
